Autolusso are pleased to announce that we have worked in conjunction with Quaife to develop a sequential gearkit for Alfa Romeo GTA / GT applications designed for fast road, track day and competition use.

Part numbered QKE9D, the Quaife / Autolusso sequential gearkit features six close ratio gears and incorporates the latest Quaife technology to deliver ultra-rapid gearshifts in a robust, affordable, easy to install package for owners of Alfa Romeo GTA 3.2 as well as Alfa Romeos fitted with the C630 / C632 gearbox, as well as many others such as the Lister-Bell Stratos replica. Ideally suited to fast road, circuit racing, drag racing and rally use, it's designed as a direct replacement for the standard six-speed 'H' pattern Alfa Romeo transmission.

QKE9D will utilise the original Alfa Romeo transmission bell housing with the addition of a replacement Quaife outer gearbox case, containing a state of the art sequential shift mechanism operated by a new design of Quaife gear lever. A compact, drum style sequential gear change mechanism and an open face dog design ensure an ultra rapid, positive gear sequential shift.

For ease of installation purposes the QKE9D re-uses the original C630 / C632 bell housing half of the transmission casing, along with the differential casing enabling the retention of the Alfa clutch, flywheel, differential, driveshafts, slave cylinder and mounting points, making it a like-for-like replacement for the stock transmission. Wide straight cut (spur) close-ratio gears minimise transmission losses and offer a choice of rally, race or drag race gearing. There is also the choice of a helical set for road and track day applications.

Key technical features of the QKE9E six-speed Alfa Romeo sequential gear kit will include:

  • Strengthened outer casing and five wider gears
  • Ultra fast sequential gearshift with straight cut or helical close-ration gears with replacement lever
  • Choice of Quaife final drive ratio included
  • Retains stock C630 / C632 clutch, flywheel, slave, differential, driveshafts and mounts
  • Quaife LED digital gear position indicator available as a cost option
  • Optional Quaife ATB limited slip differential (QDH6E) or Alfa Romeo Q2 differential can be used

PLEASE NOTE: The Quaife QKE9D package includes the new transmission housing, gear lever and cable.

The full Alfa Romeo application list for QKE9D will include: 156 2.5 V6 / 156 GTA / 147 GTA / GT 3.2 / 166 2.5, 3.0 and 3.2 / 156 2.4 10V (Not 20V) / 147, 156, GT 1.9 JTD 16V / 147, 156 1.9.

This can also be fitted to many applications of kit cars such as the Listerbell Lancia Stratos.
