The famous Quaife ATB (Automatic Torque Biasing) limited slip differential is one of the world's most popular performance upgrades for Alfa Romeos. This unique device transforms the way cars apply power to the road, offering a significant increase in traction, acceleration, cornering speeds and handling. This has proved to be a fantastic modification and is vastly more reliable than the weak original differentials. The Quaife differential is the more superior of the two differentials and has a retail price of £858 (including VAT), excluding the parts required to fit it. Autolusso have done a volume deal to bring the best possible engineering at a reasonable price to the Alfa commuity.

The Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential for Alfa Romeos is a direct replacement for the standard Alfa Romeo open differential. Unlike a conventional plate-style limited slip differential, the Alfa Romeo Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential relies on gears rather than clutch plates for its operation. This means it is much smoother in operation.

The Alfa Romeo Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential never locks harshly with a set pre-load of wheel slip across the driven axle, like a conventional LSD. Rather, the Alfa Romeo Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential automatically biases the torque away from the spinning wheel across the axle, to a constantly varying degree, and never locks.

The Alfa Romeo Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential has many benefits over a standard open differential, including maximising traction and minimizing wheelspin, eliminating torque steer and 'snatching' in front wheel drive cars compared to conventional LSD units, and a maintenance-free design which retains the standard oil lubrication.

The Alfa Romeo Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential is proven in racing, rallying and road use, and is produced from Corus steel billets, CAD designed and CNC machined, and inspected to ISO 9001 standards.
